How terribly strange/ To be seventy...

Beautiful day. Nice weather. I am prepared with biology. I have mustered the guitar drills. I should be quite pleased with myself and life in general.

I find myself thinking of veiled stuff. Of bright stuff that become dark when treated properly. Beg your pardon, improperly. To gradual Self disgust. To facile despair.

Life sometimes looks just like a facetious joke. And "smashingly strange" at other times. While plain wonderful at other. And its more than just mood. Its not the fault of life either.

Some songs remind you of something QUITE different than what the song is about. Yes, i am talking about Simon and Garfunkel here. And They severely affect your mood. I mean, none of the S&G songs are about claustrophobia, are they? Or, about all things dark and beautiful? I can name a number of such things that they remind me off.

I love to hate the songs for what they do to me. And so, i simply love to listen to them.

Kathy must have been a wonderful person, eh?

Who's Kathy?

And Kiki says you are maturing at an alarming rate! *I raise eyebrow*

"I am prepared with biology."
Ami ekta chhele k chini, j EKTUO nyakami kore na, janis?

And my favourite band: Beatles. I remember you asked about it in that mail of yours.

"I love to hate the songs for what they do to me. And so, i simply love to listen to them." --I love this line.

well, i think Kiki's ideas might er change when u remind her of our discourse in tadpoles. she was very charmed. but i suspected undertones of sarcasm. Or, mockery at best. :D

And deer, i HAVE to be prepared with biology 15 mins before i leave. Ratnajit sir would have had me for dinner otherwise!

Beatles. Roro suggested some songs. Across the universe, of course, is beyond words.

i guess i can never have a favourite. I love everything!

The following is a news clipping from The Times Of India dated July 8th, 2010.
"Following the announcement of the AIIMS results yesterday, in which our very own Rick stood first, our reporter dug up this interesting nugget for all aspirants. In a blog post in May 2009, Rick confessed to having been prepared with biology. When he noticed yours truly chomping on some celery stalks, his eyes glowed green as he began expounding on the immaculate beauty of plastids, L-dopamine and the like. When asked about his study habits, this exemplary young man modestly claimed that his routine was nothing great- just 22 and a half hours solving one problem after the other six and a half days a week. When asked about the 'half',all he had to say was, 'Well, you know, there might just be a powercut'.With a true biologists' zeal, he had only one word of advice for all you young chickadees out there: the fundamental question is not 'Which came first, the chicken or the egg? It is, instead, 'Which one drives you nuts first? Taxonomy or amphibian anatomy?' "
